Meet The Team

Tim Raes

CEO

Tim has over 20 years of banking and finance experience in Australia and overseas.
‍
He has a master’s degree in finance, holds diplomas in accounting and mortgage broking, and is a licenced broker with the Finance Brokers Association of Australia Ltd (FBAA).

Tim is the appointed Responsible Manager under the Australian Credit Licence.

In his spare time, Tim is an accomplished clarinettist and has played with multiple local orchestras in Australia and Asia.

Paul Truong

Mortgage Broker

Paul joined Urbane Finance in 2023, and his mission is to make the loan application process as simple as possible for clients.

He is based in our Melbourne office and has 12 years of experience in residential, commercial and self-managed super fund (SMSF) lending, so he can help you navigate the many options to find a lender and product that is suitable for your goals.

Paul’s significant experience in banking, lending, and financial planning means that you’re in good hands.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and going for long walks with his Golden Retriever Reggie.

Denique Ferguson

Mortgage Broker

Based in our Melbourne office, Denique has worked as a finance and mortgage broker for over 4 years.

Specialising in first home buyers and property investors, Denique is passionate about helping people achieve their financial dreams and goals and ensuring that their finance process remains simple whilst finding them the best lender possible.

Outside of the office, Denique is a dancer and dance teacher, who loves cheering on the Western Bulldogs in the AFL and spending time with her husband and golden retriever X poodle, Kevin.

Costas Louras

Team Lead Operations Manager

Costas still remembers how daunting it was to secure finance for his first property. In late 2005, while working as a Desktop Support Engineer in the public service, he turned his interest in finance into a career helping individuals and families make sound financial decisions.

In July 2014, he became an MFAA Certified Mentor™, which qualifies him to train new mortgage brokers. As General Manager of Urbane Finance, he brings the same hands-on approach to his team.

Outside work, Costas follows Carlton in the AFL, though recent seasons have tested his patience. He also keeps up with the latest gadgets and catches the odd Manchester United game.
